Excel Recruitment is currently seeking Ward Catering Assistants to work in hospitals and nursing homes across Dublin. As a Ward Catering Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive nutritious meals in a timely and caring manner. You’ll support both kitchen and ward staff, helping maintain hygiene and comfort while delivering excellent service to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to patients

• Deliver food trays to wards and ensure patients receive the correct meals

• Collect used trays and return them to the kitchen

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in both ward and kitchen areas

• Support kitchen staff with basic food prep and cleaning duties

• Follow all HACCP procedures and hospital hygiene protocols

Requirements:

• Previous experience in catering or healthcare settings (preferred)

• Friendly, patient-focused attitude

• Good spoken English

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and attention to detail
