Support Pharmacist

Role Overview:
The Support Pharmacist will work closely with the pharmacy management team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the dispensary while delivering outstanding pharmaceutical care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional advice to patients, supporting the delivery of pharmacy services, and maintaining the highest standards of practice and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, efficient, and patient-focused dispensing service
- Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in line with PSI regulations and pharmacy legislation
- Offer expert advice and counselling to patients on medications and healthcare needs
- Support the delivery of professional pharmacy services including vaccinations, health checks, and patient consultations
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the dispensary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and local healthcare professionals
- Assist in the management of stock control and dispensary administration
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures
- Promote best practice and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Hold a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification
- Previous community pharmacy experience desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and professional standards
