Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for Support Assistants (Positive Behaviour) on a permanent full-time basis, based in Lisburn with a salary of approx. £22,000 – £24,000 per year along with a staff benefit package.

Our client has delivered exceptional and life-changing services and support to people with physical and learning disabilities, for more than 50 years, across Northern Ireland enabling children and adults to live full lives in the community.

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

• Work as part of a team delivering person-centred care under a Positive Behaviour model to service users with Complex Needs, Learning Disabilities and ASD. You’ll be comfortable delivering personal care as well as working in a challenging environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum one year experience in delivering care/support.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Complex Needs, Learning Disabilities and ASD.
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
• Knowledge of challenging behaviours.
• Fully flexible to work shifts that will include evenings, weekends and unsocial hours on a rota basis.
