Excel Recruitment are currently seeking Sterilisation Operatives to join our team, supporting healthcare facilities across Limerick city & county.

Instrument Decontamination & Sterilisation:
Carry out the thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation of surgical instruments and reusable medical devices in line with approved protocols. Operate specialist equipment such as autoclaves and washer-disinfectors to ensure all items meet required standards.

Instrument Checking & Set Preparation:
Examine instruments to confirm they are fully clean, functional, and free from defects. Assemble and organise surgical trays and procedure sets בהתאם to established hospital guidelines.

Packing & Supply Distribution:
Prepare and package sterile instruments securely to maintain integrity. Ensure timely delivery and distribution of supplies to operating theatres, wards, and relevant departments.

Compliance with Quality & Safety Standards:
Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times. Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Machinery Operation & Maintenance:
Use decontamination and sterilisation equipment correctly and safely. Monitor performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.

Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate effectively with clinical and support teams, including theatre personnel and nursing staff, to ensure operational requirements are met efficiently.
