Excel Healthcare is looking for an experienced Staff Nurse to work in at an HSE hospital in Tullamore. As an approved Tier 2 HSE supplier, you can access HSE pay scales, career advancement prospects, and the freedom to work your own schedule.

Options to work various shifts patterns including: 8:00-15.30, 8:00-17:00 or 8:00-20:00 and night shifts as necessary.

Responsibilities of this Staff Nurse Job:

• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.
• Administer and manage pain medications and other treatments as prescribed to manage post-surgical pain
• Identify and respond promptly to any complications or adverse reactions, such as respiratory distress, bleeding, or changes in vital signs.
• Provide immediate interventions and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to address any emergent issues.
• Administer pain relief and other medications as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions from the recovery unit to the next stage of care.

Requirements for this Staff Nurse Job:

• Must be Registered with NMBI
• Relevant Healthcare Certificates
• Possess good time management and communication skills
• Hold appropriate work authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa).
• At least one year of experience in acute settings
