Staff Nurse

Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting Public Health Nurses and Community Nurses for our client based across Citywest, D22/24 to Crumlin, D12.

You will work as part of a team of PHNs and other RGNs in the health centres within this area and will be involved in various duties within the community.

We welcome applicants without Community Nursing or Public Health Nursing experience and all training will be provided. This is a great opportunity to gain skills in a new area.

Our client is looking for candidates available to work on a regular basis who can be committed to the community service.

The role includes wound management, client needs based assessment, care planning and implementation of supports to ensure the clients can live in the community. It is an extremely interesting and varied role.

Responsibilities of a Community Nurse:

  • Provide a high level of care to all patients within the community.
  • Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating highly specialized nursing care
  • Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of HIQA standards.
  • Care planning and communication with families.
  • Administration of medication to patients

Requirements of a Community Nurse:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Right to Work in Ireland – EU or EEA passport, IRP Stamps 1G, 2 or 4.
  • Relevant certificates
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Experience within the Irish Healthcare system is an advantage.
