Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established hospital in Cork to recruit Multi-Modality Radiographers (General Radiography, CT & MRI) to join their expanding Diagnostic Imaging Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and patient-focused Radiographers who are keen to work across multiple imaging modalities while developing their clinical expertise in a supportive and progressive Radiology environment.

You will join a friendly, highly skilled multidisciplinary team, working in a hospital recognised for delivering exceptional patient care and advanced diagnostic services.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides comprehensive imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients, including: General Radiography, Emergency Radiography, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology and Ultrasound.

As a Multi-Modality Radiographer, you will work across General Radiography, CT and MRI, delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring excellent patient care and adherence to professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service across General Radiography, CT and MRI
  • Perform imaging procedures in accordance with professional and departmental protocols
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout all examinations
  • Maintain compliance with radiation protection principles including justification, optimisation, ALARA and dose limits
  • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate imaging records using RIS, PACS and hospital information systems
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) programmes and departmental audits
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Report equipment issues promptly and assist in maintaining imaging equipment standards
  • Engage actively in continuing professional development (CPD) and professional training

Eligibility Criteria:

  • BSc or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
  • CORU Registration (essential)
  • Ideally 1-2 years post-qualification experience in an acute hospital
  • Experience working in General Radiography and CT
  • MRI experience desirable
  • Experience with DEXA imaging advantageous
  • Knowledge of RIS/PACS systems
  • Experience participating in on-call services desirable
  • Strong knowledge of radiation protection and safety regulations
