Staff grade Psychologist (CAMHS)
Job Title: Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist – CAMHS
Location: Cellbridge, Co. Kildare or south Dublin.
Contract Type: Full-time, Agency Contract 6-12 month
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35-hour week
Salary: Aligned with HSE Pay Scales
Are you a Staff Grade Psychologist looking to join a well-established, CAMHS team?
We are currently recruiting a Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist to join a highly supportive CAMHS team. We have vacancies in Cellbridge Co. Kildare and Ballyfermot.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting young people and their families as they navigate moderate to severe mental health challenges. You will work alongside Senior Psychologists and a Principal Psychologist.
The successful candidate will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team. You will receive formal supervision, work collaboratively across integrated services, and gain valuable HSE experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents presenting with complex mental health needs.
- Formulate and deliver individualised, evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed approaches, systemic and family interventions).
- Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute psychological expertise to treatment planning.
- Provide psychoeducation, therapeutic input, and support to families and carers.
- Liaise and collaborate with external agencies including schools, GPs, and social care teams.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical services and service improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A recognised qualification at doctoral level (or equivalent) in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
- PSI membership or eligibility for registration.
- Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.
- Post qualification experience within CAMHS settings (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills.
