Location: Hospital in Navan, Meath

We are currently seeking a Staff Grade Pharmacist to assist in the operation of dispensary services at a hospital in Navan, Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dedicated team delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work alongside a Senior Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Technicians to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of dispensary pharmacy services to wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and supply drugs, pharmaceuticals, and other related items as required.

• Perform duties in the dispensary to ensure the purchase, storage, and supply of all items is carried out efficiently, adhering to quality, legal, and security requirements.

• Maintain records for purchasing, quality control, compounding, and dispensing to required standards.

• Provide advice to medical and nursing staff on the safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medications.

• Ensure patient and professional staff needs are met through high-quality pharmaceutical service provision.

• Collaborate with community pharmacists to ensure continuity of medication supply when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field.

• Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
