Location: Tallaght, Ballyfermot, Crumlin, and Clondalkin, Dublin
Contract Type: 6 -12 month agency contract (Full-Time, 35 hours per week) – Likely to be extended

Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Staff grade Occupational Therapist on behalf of a HSE Community Mental Health team, who provide vital services to a population of over 300,000 people across four Community Mental Health Teams located in Tallaght, Ballyfermot, Crumlin, and Clondalkin.
These expert teams deliver a range of specialist and recovery-focused services, including:
- Adult ADHD Team
- Eating Disorders Team
- Rehabilitation Team
- Specialist Psychosis Unit
- General Adult Community Mental Health Teams
Role Purpose
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team, delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and review of treatment / intervention programmes for service users according to service standards.
- Manage own caseload in accordance with the needs of the post.
- Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment / intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.
- Plan discharge or transition of the service user between services as appropriate
- Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and discharge summaries in accordance with local service and professional standards.
- Communicate verbally and / or in writing results of assessments, treatment / intervention programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy.
- Attend clinics, review meetings, team meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc. as designated by Senior Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapist Manager.
- Maintain quality standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audit as appropriate.
- Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.
Essential Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- Full CORU registration
- Previous experience working in mental health (desirable)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A collaborative, recovery oriented, and person centred approach.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- HSE mandatory training (or willingness to complete before starting).
