Job Title: Staff Grade Occupational Therapist (Child Disability)
Location: Trim, Co. Meath
Hours: 35 hours per week
Position: Full-time
Contract: 1-year specified purpose contract with possibility of extension

Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join a Child Disability Network Team based in Trim, Co. Meath, with service delivery extending across the surrounding area.

Successful candidate:

As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to children and families. You’ll work within a highly skilled interdisciplinary team that includes Senior Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children (0-18 years) with disabilities including physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, and autism.
• Carry out assessments, interventions, and support plans to promote independence and participation.
• Contribute to group and individual therapy programmes, supporting family-centred care.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, child-focused care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in service planning and evaluation.

Essential Requirements:

• CORU registration (or evidence of application/eligibility).
• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Full clean driver’s license and access to own transport for community visits.
• Current residency in Ireland with the legal right to work without restrictions.
