The Job:

  • As a Specialist Support Worker in the Housing First for Youth team, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people aged 16-21 who are Looked After Children.
  • You will provide tailored, 24/7 support to a small group, helping them achieve safety and stability in their homes while building their resilience.
  • Working collaboratively with Social Services and Mental Health Professionals, you’ll deliver flexible and diverse interventions, assisting them through challenges such as mental health issues, substance use, and concerns about safety.

The Person:

  • Experience supporting Looked After Children, homeless individuals or vulnerable adults to set goals and work through person‑centred plans.
  • Experience in fast‑paced environments involving mental health, substance use, young people’s services or independent living support.
  • Fully flexible to cover a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and unsocial hours.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Full current driving licence, or alternative transport arrangements if disability prevents driving.
  • NISCC registration (or willingness to register before employment) and ability to undergo Access NI checks.
  • Must be willing to obtain business insurance for the purposes of work transport.
