Responsibilities of this Professionally Qualified Social Worker job:

• Have a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Child Protection and Welfare, Fostercare etc.
• Provide a direct point of access for the local community and offer initial and holistic social assessment and intervention to children, youth, families and groups.
• Develop and implement care plans for children and families in need of support or intervention.
• Deliver social work service in collaboration with other disciplines / agencies as required, in appropriate settings reflecting the needs of the service user.
• Participate in case reviews, strategy meetings, and inter-agency planning.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with Tusla’s quality standards and governance procedures.

Requirements for this Professionally Qualified Social Worker job:

• A professional qualification in Social Work (e.g. NQSW, CQSW, BSS in Social Work, MSW).
• Must be registered with CORU as a Social Worker.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland ie. hold appropriate work permission such as EU Passport, IRP Stamp 4 or 1G.
• Full driving licence and access to appropriate transport as there will be travel involved.
• Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• A commitment to child protection, equality, and social justice.
