Excel recruitment is currently looking for a Social Care Worker in a community based facility in Tallaght. As a Social Care Worker you will be part of a team that provides support and opportunities to people living with intellectual disabilities or a mental health condition.

This role is a full time role Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of this Social Care Worker job:

• Assessing clients’ needs and developing care plans
• Provide counseling and support and advocate for clients rights
• Contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming, safe, caring, stable and therapeutic environment
• Ensure that the primary care needs of the service user are met
• Promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, ethnic and spiritual welfare of each service user

Requirements / Qualifications for this Social Care Worker job:

• Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card
• QQI Level 7 in Social Care, BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification
• Must be registered with CORU or eligible to register.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards
