Excel recruitment is currently looking for a Social Care Worker to provide residential and day services for people with intellectual disabilities in Co.Mayo. As a Social Care Worker you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides the best possible care, supports and outcomes for service users.

Responsibilities of this Social Care Worker job:

• Ensure the client’s personal plan is completed in line with regulations and standards provided.
• Provide positive support and advocate for client’s rights.
• Ensure that all files are in line and ready for a HIQA Inspection at any given time.
• Contribute to the promotion of independence and community integration.
• Ensure that the primary care needs of the service user are met
• Engage with families, clinicians and building links in the community.
• Promote physical, emotional, social and cultural welfare of each service user

Requirements / Qualifications for this Social Care Worker job:

• Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card
• QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts or higher in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or alternative to include Social Work, Social Science, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community work or a QQI Level 8 in Psychology.
• Full Irish manual driving license.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards
