Excel recruitment is currently looking for a Social Care Worker to work in Ennis, Co. Claire. As a Social Care Worker you will be part of a team that provides support and care for children in Residential Services under TUSLA Children and Family Agency.

Responsibilities/Duties of Social Care Worker:

• Provide counselling and support and advocate for clients rights
• Contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming, safe, caring, stable and therapeutic environment
• Ensure that the primary care needs of the service user are met
• Work in partnership with parents/guardians or other agencies for the benefit of the client.
• Promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, ethnic and spiritual welfare of each client

Requirements / Qualifications of a Social Care Worker:

• Must be eligible to work in Ireland, have EU passport or valid IRP card
• Hold QQI Level 7 in Social Care, BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification
• Must be registered or eligible to register with CORU
• Good knowledge of HIQA standards
• Full clean licence (not essential)
