Excel Healthcare is currently looking for Social Care Workers in Wicklow to join a HSE community-based program that supports individuals with mental health challenges. This position based in Bray is available on both a part-time and full-time basis.

Responsibilities of this Social Care Worker job

• Develop and implement care and placement plans.
• Encourage well-being and social interaction.
• Engage with 15- to 16-year-old children and adolescents who experience mental health difficulties.
• Provide counselling and therapeutic assistance.
• Offer personal and emotional support.
• Oversee daily activities.
• Coordinate with children, families, and healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Support educational and professional growth.
• Address conflicts and difficult situations with professionalism.

Requirements for this Social Care Worker job

• Level 7 qualifications in social care or equivalent.
• Experience working with children is beneficial.
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
• Possession of all necessary certificates.
• Skills in patient care, time management, problem-solving, and communication.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards and quality service.
