About the Hospital
This well-established private hospital in Cork is recognised for delivering high-quality patient care, advanced diagnostics, and innovative medical treatments.
Due to continued growth and investment in cardiac and interventional services, the hospital is expanding its Cardiac Cath Lab team and is recruiting Radiographers to join the department on a permanent basis.
The department provides a collaborative, forward thinking environment where Radiographers are encouraged to develop advanced skills in interventional imaging and cardiac procedures.
As a Cath Lab Radiographer you will join a thriving multi-disciplinary team, delivering high quality care to patients and clients who access angiography services, along with the provision of clinical and provisional support to other team members in the angiography suite.
You will work under the leadership of an exceptional Radiology Manager dedicated to innovation, excellence, and a supportive work environment; this is an outstanding opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality imaging procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisations.
- Operate and maintain specialised imaging equipment with precision and care.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor junior radiographers and radiography students as needed.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong interest in interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging
- The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working in a busy acute or trauma hospital environment
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must hold a Diploma/Degree of Radiography.
- Must hold CORU registration
- Minimum 1 year clinical radiography experience in an acute hospital
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

- Excellent Communications skills and the ability to support and contribute to the team.
