Excel Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist on a permanent, full-time basis to join the orthopaedic service in Ireland’s leading orthopaedic hospital in North Dublin.

This full-time permanent contract is an excellent opportunity for anyone with previous experience as a staff grade physiotherapist and for someone with a genuine interest in providing a top standard physiotherapy service.

Responsibilities of a Senior Physiotherapist:
Manage and co-ordinate the physiotherapy orthopaedic service, both inpatient and outpatient services, to ensure the highest standard of care is always delivered.
Be competent in assessing and managing a range of orthopaedic conditions.
Supervise and support the staff on the team.
Communicate effectively with all members of the team, patients and their families.
Take responsibility for the assessment, development and implementation of patient care plans.
Act as a clinical mentor for other physiotherapists.
Organise and lead teaching sessions for other staff.
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to and that both staff and patients are safe.

Requirements for this Senior Physiotherapist job:
Hold a Physiotherapy qualification.
Be registered with CORU.
Have at least 4 years’ experience as staff grade physiotherapist in Ireland, with a minimum of 18 months experience in an Orthopaedic setting.
High levels of organisational and communication skills.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications will also be considered.
Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems in Ireland.
