Contract Type: Full-time, 9-month Specified Purpose Contract (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist to join a dedicated Minor Injuries Unit at Monaghan Hospital. This exciting job offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your advanced MSK skills within a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.
Role Purpose:
To deliver expert physiotherapy services to patients presenting with a range of musculoskeletal injuries in a Minor Injuries Unit. This includes timely assessment, evidence-based interventions, and contribution to discharge planning and rehabilitation to support optimal recovery and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage a diverse caseload of patients presenting with acute MSK injuries including fractures, sprains, soft tissue injuries, and post-trauma rehabilitation.
- Provide timely and effective physiotherapy interventions tailored to individual clinical needs.
- Collaborate with emergency medicine, nursing, radiology, and rehabilitation teams to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in triage, care planning, and discharge coordination to streamline the patient journey.
- Provide leadership and clinical guidance to junior physiotherapy colleagues and students as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives.
- Contribute to health promotion and injury prevention education where appropriate.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
- CORU registration (essential).
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, including strong musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical environment.
- Experience in an acute or emergency setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
