Job Opportunity: Senior Physiotherapist / Physiotherapist (Specialist Palliative Care)
Location: Cork
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
Contract Duration: 3-month contract (Sick Leave Cover possible extension)

Excel Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a leading Hospice in Cork to recruit a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Senior or Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join their Specialist Palliative Care Service on a full time basis.

About the Team

You will join a well-established Physiotherapy department with 5 Senior Physiotherapists and 1 Physiotherapy Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with complex palliative care needs in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans that promote comfort, mobility, and quality of life.
  • Work independently to manage a caseload, while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to patients, families, carers, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Support service development through participation in audits, clinical supervision, and continuous professional education.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.

Essential Criteria:

  • CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Proven experience in palliative care is essential.
  • Clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care and ongoing professional development.
  • Available to start work in 1-2 weeks (Essential)
