Excel Healthcare currently recruiting a Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to work on an agency basis in Kilkenny, providing high-quality mental health care in both acute settings and with individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID).

**Please note we do not provide with visa sponsorship at the moment**

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional, person-centred nursing care to service users in acute mental health units and community-based ID services.

• Conduct mental health assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor progress.

• Support individuals with complex needs, including dual diagnosis, behavioural challenges, or co-occurring physical health conditions.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community services.

• Ensure compliance with HIQA, HSE, and NBMI standards.

Requirements:

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – RPN division.

• Have appropriate work permission ( EU Passport/ IRP 4 or 1G)

• Minimum 6-12 months experience in acute psychiatric settings or with intellectual disability services.

• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

• Garda Vetting and up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., MAPA/PMAV, Manual Handling, CPR, Infection Control).
