Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Residential Deputy Manager on a permanent full-time basis, based in Dungiven with a starting salary of £37,000 per year and an annual staff bonus scheme.

Working in partnership with our client, they are an established not-for-profit and established organisation that has helped over 1,000 young people who suffer from mental health illnesses, complex needs, and challenging behaviours, over the last 15 years, adopting an individual therapeutic approach.

This will be a challenging, hands-on, and varied role where you’ll work for a close-knit and supportive organisation, with ambitious plans to grow their services in Northern Ireland through 2024 and into 2025.

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

• Be an important part of the management team, taking a hands-on approach, to ensure the residential home runs effectively.
• Have responsibility for staff development, training, team meetings, and reporting while building a strong and positive team culture.
• Be involved in risk assessments, support plans, safety plans and working directly with the young people who reside in the home.
• Ensure compliance is followed in line with internal and external regulations.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or above.
• 2-year minimum of residential experience; working with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• 1-year minimum line management experience in a similar setting.
• Active NISCC registration.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
• Able to work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
• Full clean driving licence for one year or more.
