Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Staff Grade Social Worker on behalf of an adult safeguarding team in Laois/Offaly.
Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Staff Grade Social Worker to support vulnerable adults at risk of abuse or neglect. You will work within a dedicated team to assess, intervene, and protect individuals while promoting their rights, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and interventions for adults experiencing or at risk of abuse.
- Work closely with service users, families, and carers to develop person-centred safeguarding plans.
- Collaborate with HSE teams, Healthcare professionals, An Garda Síochána, and Voluntary organisations to ensure coordinated care.
- Advocate for adults at risk, promoting autonomy and safeguarding their rights.
- Maintain accurate case notes and reports in compliance with HSE safeguarding policies.
- Deliver training and awareness programs on adult safeguarding within the community and healthcare settings.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and safeguarding strategy planning.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional qualification in social work.
- Must be CORU-registered.
- Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy and national frameworks.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport is an advantage.
