Job Title: Person in Charge
Location: Maynooth, Co. Kildare
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
Service Type: Disabilities – Homecare
Salary: €49,000 – €61,000 a year

Excel Healthcare is proud to collaborate with one of Ireland’s leading nursing home groups to recruit a Person in Charge to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of their disability services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective leadership and day-to-day management of the service.
• Ensure full adherence to HIQA standards and applicable legislation.
• Champion a person-centred ethos across all service operations.
• Guide, support, and develop staff while promoting a positive, professional workplace culture.
• Lead service planning, risk assessment, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners.
• Ensure the safety, protection, and overall well-being of service users.

Essential Requirements:

• A relevant qualification Health & Social Care Management Degree Level 8 or equivalent (required)
• At least three years of experience in a managerial role within disability services (preferred)
• Demonstrated understanding of HIQA regulations and disability sector compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
• Capacity to manage high-pressure situations and address challenges effectively.
