Excel Healthcare are recruiting a Staff Grade Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a Paediatric Primary Care team in Dundalk. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, child-centred, and multidisciplinary setting, where creativity, compassion, and clinical expertise come together every day.

Purpose of the Job

As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the delivery of paediatric services within a Primary Care team. Working with children aged 0-18 who present with developmental, sensory, and/or physical challenges, you will provide meaningful, family-centred interventions that promote independence and participation in daily life.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children with a variety of needs including sensory processing, motor coordination, and developmental delay
  • Manage a paediatric caseload in line with prioritisation policies, service capacity, and individual family needs
  • Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic and coordinated care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and planning meetings
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team-based service planning
  • Apply evidence-based practice and adhere to professional and ethical standards

Requirements

  • CORU-registered Occupational Therapist
  • Post graduate or Clinical placement experience in a paediatric setting
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills
  • Passionate about early intervention, family-centred care, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Available to start work immediately.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
