In partnership with our client, Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting a Nursing Practice Development Co-ordinator for a sub-acute care facility based in North Dublin

The Nursing Practice Development Co-ordinator will lead the Nursing Practice Development function which supports post registration nursing staff in developing nursing practice to facilitate high standards of patient focused nursing care. The successful candidate will support the Director of Nursing and Senior Management team with the strategic and future development of Nursing. This new purpose-built facility offers short term care to patients in the public health systems with the role offering an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious team and deliver real change

Responsibilities of this Nursing Practice Development Co-ordinator job include:

  • Determine the educational needs of the nursing staff within the organisation, and make recommendations in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Managers and ADONs as to how these needs are met
  • Prepare and conduct sessions for nursing documentation information sessions at ward level and in a classroom setting
  • Attend meetings with Senior Nurse Management team, Clinical facilitator, Clinical Nurse Managers, and Staff Nurses and participate in interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate

  • NMBI registration
  • Natural Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
  • Experience in a similar nursing practice development role
