Healthcare Assistants / Pre-Nursing Students – Dublin and Surrounding Areas – Full QQI Level 5 Required

Excel Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated agency team across Dublin and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy flexible working arrangements while expanding your experience across a range of healthcare settings.

Shifts are available in hospitals, nursing homes, residential services, and other care environments, with opportunities to suit both regular and occasional availability.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting residents and service users with personal care and everyday activities
• Providing high-quality, person-centred care with dignity, compassion, and respect
• Working alongside nursing and care teams to maintain excellent standards of care
• Encouraging the comfort, wellbeing, and independence of those you support
• Helping to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and positive care environment

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A full QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
• A caring, dependable, and professional approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current eligibility to work in Ireland and residence in Ireland

A full, clean driving licence and access to your own transport would be advantageous but are not essential.

Required Training

These certifications are not required when you apply; however, successful candidates must hold the following before commencing work:

• CPR

• Patient Manual Handling

• HACCP Level 2

Candidates who already hold these certifications will have an advantage. If you need to complete any of them, our team can support you in arranging the necessary training.
