Excel recruitment is currently looking for a Healthcare Assistant in Waterford to join our team of healthcare professionals in care of the elderly facilities

Responsibilities/Duties of Healthcare Assistant:

• Assisting patients with high standards of care within nursing homes and hospitals
• Provide high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being
• Assist and support other staff
• Carry out tasks as directed

Requirements of a Healthcare Assistant:

• Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card
• QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare (minimum course modules obtained: Care of the Elderly and Care Skills)
• Valid certificates for Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling (Excel training can be provided or through HSE Land)
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standard
• Experience of at least six months within healthcare is preferred
• Driver’s license and having a car accessible to you is preferred (not essential)
