Excel Healthcare are currently recruiting a Director of Nursing for a nursing home in Laois.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is currently working in a similar position and wishes to move to a larger state of the art nursing home group.

As the new Director of Nursing you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of the facility, ensuring high standards of care for our residents.

This is a medium sized facility which caters up to 100 residents. The facility offers free parking and is located just 30 minutes’ drive from Kildare, making it an accessible location for anyone commuting from this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety are met.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the nursing home, including staffing, budgets, and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and strategies to maintain quality care.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a smooth-running facility.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure ongoing improvement and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Director of Nursing or Person in Charge with experience in nursing home management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in elder care.
  • Ability to manage a team and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality care in a compassionate and resident-focused environment.
