Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for a South Dublin-based state-of-the-art nursing home on a permanent full-time basis. This large nursing home is committed to providing a high standard of care for all its elderly residents in a relaxing environment and location. This role is suitable for anyone living in Dun Laoghaire and the surrounding area.

As a Clinical Nurse Manager you will oversee Staff Nurses and many Healthcare Assistants. You will deliver compassionate care to residents with dementia while maintaining the highest standards of care at all times.

Responsibilities of a Clinical Nurse Manager:

• Working with all staff members in all areas to ensure all standards are met, including the safety of residents and staff.
• Foster positive and meaningful relationships with all residents and their families, whilst providing anu support or guidance they may need.
• Work alongside the multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring effective communication while demonstrating commitment to our client’s core values.
• Provide supervision to all junior staff and act as a mentor for and preceptor for nurses.
• Show awareness of the most recent nursing policies and methods relevant to the clinical or defined area, such as the person-centered care idea.
• Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs and wants are met and respected.
• Possess strong clinical judgement skills and focus on patient-centered care.

Requirements for this Clinical Nurse Manager job:

• Hold active NMBI Registration Pin.
• Minimum 5 years post registration experience, with relevant experience with dementia.
• Must have prior nursing management experience.
• Must hold a post graduate clinical qualification in dementia or care of the elderly.
• A clinical qualification in nursing management is an advantage, or a desire to acquire such qualification in a defined period.
• High levels of organizational and communication skills.
