The Role

As a Senior Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality CT and MRI service while supporting colleagues, maintaining excellent clinical standards, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

You will work closely with Radiologists, Consultants, and multidisciplinary colleagues while helping to drive service quality, efficiency, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of CT and MRI examinations to the highest clinical standards.
• Deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-focused imaging service.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety and MRI safety protocols.
• Support the ongoing development of imaging services and departmental initiatives.
• Assist in supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior Radiographers and students.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Radiologists, Consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure imaging equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with hospital policies and best practice.

Skills and Experience

• Strong CT and/or MRI experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
• CORU Registration.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration Radiography experience.
• Significant experience in CT and/or MRI.
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy acute hospital environment.
