Excel Recruitment is thrilled to be recruiting for a Key Worker in Carryduff on a permanent full-time basis with a salary of £36,000 per year.
If you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, this is the role for you! Please note you must be fully flexible to cover shifts that include evenings, weekends and unsocial hours on a rota basis.
The Client:
- Since 2016, our client has been a trusted provider of specialist residential care for vulnerable and traumatised children and young people. They offer highly personalised care in nurturing, stable, and trauma-informed environments, helping young people thrive and build brighter futures. They are dedicated to creating safe, nurturing environments for vulnerable children in crisis.
The Role:
With a full copy of the spec on request, as a Key Worker you will:
- Provide compassionate care and support to young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster a positive team culture and facilitate team meetings and staff development.
- Assist in the development and review of Risk Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Attend stakeholder meetings and provide on-call support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, reporting any damages promptly.
- Achieve positive outcomes in life skills, education, and emotional well-being for young people.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional development.
The Person:
- NISCC Registered – Part 1 or Part 2 where applicable.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with traumatised young people, with desirable experience in 1-to-1 settings.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Team Leader in similar role.
- Third Level Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., BSc Hon in Social Work or Youth Work) is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to produce high-quality internal and external reports.
- High level of engagement and professionalism when interacting with all stakeholders.
- Flexible to cover shift patterns that include evening, weekend and unsocial hours on a rota basis as well as an “on-call” service.
- Ability to demonstrate the organisation’s values and mission statement in practice.
- Proven track record of using initiative and maintaining high standards in work.
- Valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
- Agree to AccessNI checks and any other necessary background checks as required by the organisation.
On Offer:
- £36,000 per year.
- £250 bonus every 6 months.
