Excel Recruitment is currently seeking experienced and reliable Relief Chefs to join our expanding temporary hospitality team across Limerick City and County. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with client standards.
• Maintain consistency and food quality across all service periods.
• Support kitchen teams during busy service times.
• Ensure HACCP and food safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with stock rotation.
• Reduce waste and maintain portion control.
• Keep workstations clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Experience within hotels, restaurants, healthcare, contract catering, or high-volume kitchens.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to travel across Limerick City and County.
• Professional attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Relevant culinary qualification desirable.
