Job Title: Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Contract Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits: HSE salary scale, commensurate with experience

Excel Healthcare are recruiting a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team including therapists, social workers, and psychologists.

In this role, you will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and ongoing review of speech and language therapy supports. Your caseload will focus on children aged 0-18 with a range of communication, developmental, and feeding/swallowing needs.

You will work collaboratively within the team to deliver family-centred, needs-based, and outcome-focused care, guided by the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and review of speech and language therapy supports
  • Provide needs-based, outcome-focused care in line with the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated care and shared goal setting
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, reporting, and service delivery
  • Adhere to best practice guidelines in line with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and the Progressing Disabilities Programme
  • Promote a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Membership (or eligibility) of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
