Paediatric Staff Grade Physiotherapist

Excel Healthcare are recruiting a permanent Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join an expanding Children’s Disability Network Team based in Cabra.

This is a permanent, pensionable role where you’ll be supported through regular supervision, CPD, and career development opportunities while working as part of an innovative and collaborative team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a well established, friendly, and highly motivated Multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate is required to work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team, who provide services to 0-18 year old children and young persons with complex needs. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model.

Job Purpose

As a Staff Grade Physiotherapist, you will provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention to children aged 0-18 years with a range of physical, sensory, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, including autism and developmental delay.

You will work closely with children and families to promote mobility, function, participation, and independence, while collaborating with Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and other MDT colleagues.

Role Summary

  • Deliver physiotherapy assessment and intervention to children aged 0-18 years
  • Work under the direction of the Children’s Disability Network Manager (CDNM)
  • Actively participate as a member of an integrated interdisciplinary team
  • Contribute discipline‑specific expertise to care planning and service delivery
  • Provide advice, education, and support programmes to parents and caregivers
  • Complete clinical documentation, reports, and assessments as required
  • Liaise with schools, early years settings, and external agencies
  • Attend MDT meetings, case conferences, and service planning meetings

Essential Requirements

  • BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • CORU registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Experience working with children/young people with complex disabilities
  • Experience working with children/young people with ASD
  • Experience contributing to or completing Assessment of Need
  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
