Excel Recruitment is actively looking for a Barista/Catering Assistant professional to support the daily operations of the café/kitchen in Cork Airport Industrial Park. Fixed Term (4 Months)

You will be preparing beverages, assisting with food preparation, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

Barista Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks

• Take customer orders and process payments accurately

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and service area

Kitchen Assistant Duties

• Assist with food preparation such as sandwiches, salads, and light meals

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

• Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times

• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods

• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries

General Responsibilities

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Work effectively as part of a team

• Follow company policies and procedures

• Assist with stock rotation and inventory control when required

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a barista, café assistant, or kitchen assistant preferred

• Good customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends
