Are you a recently qualified or experienced Staff Grade Occupational Therapist looking to work in a supportive environment, where you will develop your skills in complex rehabilitation?

Excel Recruitment is recruiting a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a highly regarded team at an Older Persons Rehabilitation Hospital in Limerick.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist you will be instrumental in the rehabilitation process for older adults, promoting functional independence and quality of life.

  • Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments and develop and implement individualised treatment plans focusing on function, mobility, and independence.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions in individual and group settings, addressing physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Multidisciplinary Team on patient progress, goal setting, and treatment review.
  • Assist in discharge planning, providing adaptive equipment recommendations, home visits, and caregiver education to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in line with CORU standards.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safety strategies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Full and Active CORU Registration (Occupational Therapists Registration Board).
  • While experience in an elderly care or rehabilitation setting is desirable, we welcome applications from enthusiastic new graduates.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication, and a proactive, adaptive team player attitude.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
  • HSE mandatory training (or willingness to complete before starting).
