This is a fantastic opportunity to work full-time in a busy, fast-paced acute hospital environment where you will contribute to patient care and gain valuable experience across a variety of clinical areas.

As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will be involved in assessing, treating, and supporting patients across a broad range of acute specialties, including:

Acute Medical & Surgical Wards, Care of the Elderly, Orthopaedics & Trauma, Stroke & Neurology and Acute Rehabilitation Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality assessment and intervention to patients within an acute hospital setting.
  • Contribute to treatment planning and delivery of therapy programmes to support patients’ recovery and discharge.
  • Participate actively in discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care transitions.
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding therapy goals, treatment, and progress.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation in line with hospital and CORU standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to team meetings, audits, and service initiatives.

Requirements:

  • CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist (Essential).
  • Experience working in an acute hospital or similar setting (placement experience will be considered).
  • Strong clinical skills with an interest in medical, surgical, orthopaedics, or rehabilitation caseloads.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
