Women’s Services Coordinator

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Women’s Services Coordinator on a permanent full-time basis, based in Central Belfast, with a salary of £25,874 per year.

Our client is a local charity that provides a range of services to people across Belfast who experience homelessness.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of support workers across two sites in Central Belfast, offering a harm reduction model and a therapeutic model, both to support the immediate needs of homeless females who suffer from mental health illness, trauma, and complex needs and who also experience chronic homelessness while also struggling to engage with other services.

Responsibilities:

With a full, detailed copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

  • Support the Service Manager and existing team, ensuring high standards are maintained across two sites in the Greater Belfast area.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in managing people as well as implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experienced in working with people with a wide range of mental health illnesses, challenging behaviours, and substance/alcohol misuse.
  • Excellent knowledge of support plans, harm reduction, and risk assessments.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan services, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound working knowledge of the issues that homeless people face, particularly females.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Clean driving licence and a minimum of two years of driving experience.
