Location: Cavan town
Contract Type: Full-time, 1-Year Specified Purpose Contract
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: HSE Aligned Pay Scales (Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist)

Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a progressive Primary Care service in Cavan Town to recruit Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist’s.

We currently have opportunities in both Paediatric and Adult Primary Care, allowing you to choose a caseload that suits your skills, interests, and career goals.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated Speech and Language therapist who wants to make a genuine impact in the community, whether supporting children’s early communication development or enhancing quality of life for adults with complex needs.

About the Role:


This flexible and rewarding position allows you to choose to work with either paediatric or adult clients or a combination of both based on your interests and experience. You will assess, diagnose, and deliver interventions for clients presenting with a variety of communication challenges and/or swallowing disorders. You’ll join a well-established and supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaborative, person-centred care within a community-based Primary Care setting.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised qualification approved by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Active CORU registration (Essential).
  • Experience with both adult and paediatric caseloads (placement experience will be considered).
  • Clinical competence in managing dysphagia and completing safe swallow assessments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a Primary Care team.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle (Essential for adult primarycare role).
