Job Title: Staff Grade Occupational Therapist (Older persons Rehabilitation Acute)
Location: Thurles, Co. Tipperary

Contract: 1 year contract
Hours: 35 hours per week

Excel Recruitment are seeking a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join a well-established Older Persons Rehabilitation Hospital in Thurles. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in rehabilitation, mobility support, and functional independence, working closely with experienced clinicians who are committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Details:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday position (35-hour contract) for 1 year
  • Specialist experience in Older Persons Rehabilitation
  • Regular clinical supervision and strong support from Senior Occupational Therapists
  • A collaborative and welcoming multidisciplinary team environment

As part of this role, you will:

  • You will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service.
    Assess and develop individualized care plans to enhance patients’ independence and quality of life
  • Work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a hospital dedicated to rehabilitation services
  • Benefit from ongoing clinical supervision and mentorship from Senior Occupational Therapists
  • Have the chance to develop and expand your expertise in Older Persons Rehabilitation
  • Seek advice when needed and adhere to professional standards and ethics.
  • Operate within Occupational Therapy practice guideline

Requirements:

  • Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • A motivated professional with a genuine interest in working with older adults
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with children.
  • A full driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
  • Current residency in Ireland with the legal right to work without restrictions.
  • Willingness to complete Garda Vetting
