Excel Healthcare is now an Approved Tier 2 supplier for the HSE. We are currently seeking some social care workers, on contract basis, for one of our clients who provides care, protection for children across Sligo.

Responsibilities of this Social Care Worker job:

• Providing care and support to young adults
• Providing the intervention required to address the issues which prevent young people from living at home or in foster care
• Promoting the rights of each young person within the center
• Encouraging attendance in school and educational training programs
• Liaising with family, general services and other agencies on the young person’s behalf
• Drawing up regular reports on the progress and development of the young person
• Being accountable for the young person’s documents, information and finances

Requirements for this Social Care Worker job:

• Possess a recognised degree or diploma or similar.
• Hold appropriate work authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa).
• Display necessary caring skills, including patient care, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in similar field is desirable.
