Excel Recruitment is recruiting Senior Support Workers on a permanent full-time basis, based in Belfast Area with a salary of £28,500 – £34,500 per year depenidng on experience and a staff benefit package.

Responsibilities:

With a full copy of the Job Duties and Person Spec available on request, you will:

• Coach, mentor, and supervise staff and volunteers, taking responsibility as shift leader when called upon.
• Be involved in the induction and training of new hires.
• Provide exceptional person-centered support to all people within the service.
• Form positive relationships with the people you support, enabling them to live their lives, communicate their wishes, enhancing their choices while always staying professional with the people you support and their families.
• Support people to be safe and healthy and support their independence.

Requirements:

• Either 4 years’ experience in a similar setting/QCF Level 3 and 3-year experience/Psychology Degree and 2-year experience/Psychology Masters Degree and 2-year experience.
• 2 years’ experience working with learning disabilities or autism.
• 2 years’ experience in Positive Behaviour Support.
• Demonstrable experience in devising and implementing person-centered support plans.
• Be registered or agree to register with NISCC on appointment.
• Full, clean driving licence or the ability to travel independently.
