Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) on a temporary basis in a public hospital based in Limerick.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for flexibility in their work life. This role will suit anyone with previous experience within the healthcare system.

Responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant job:

  • Attend to patient’s personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living.
  • Providing a high standard of care and service within the workplace.
  • Ensure excellent communication between patients and their family.
  • Assisting patients with any mobility needs they may have.
  • Work as part of wider multidisciplinary team, including staff nurses, clinical nursing managers and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements for this HCA job:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Studies or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Previous acute setting experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Good level of oral and written English.
